Specialised Trained Drivers Able To Assist

We are proud to provide an excellent service for wheelchair users, and have developed a quality training programme to continue to improve our standards. We liaise with many of the town’s service providers and partners to have an open dialogue on the requirements and changes to customers of accessible vehicles.

We have a large variety of wheelchair vehicles, all with specially trained drivers.

Please prebook your taxi with us, so we can assign you a driver ahead of time.
Awareness training course.

Brighton and Hove Streamline Taxis have developed a Catstream (UK) disability handling and awareness training course (DHAATC ©) for hackney private hire and car drivers.

The course has been accredited by brighton university and been issued with a "Req" mark, which stands for "Recognising Educational Quality".
Our Disability Awareness and WAV Training was produced with the help from:

Peter Kyle Labour MP for Hove speaks about our training at our headquarters.
It has also been adopted by Brighton and Hove city council for driver's of wheelchair accessible vehicles (wav's).

All drivers who successfully pass the course are then issued with a certificate, which is valid for three years and our handbook.
